Robodex Receives New Turnkey Project at Daimler’s Rastatt Plant!

We are thrilled to announce that Robodex has embarked on another exciting project with Daimler (Mercedes), one of the pioneers of the automotive industry. As part of this collaboration, we will be responsible for the electrical installation of a fully robotic underbody rear compartment (Heckboden) production line at the Rastatt plant in Germany.

Project Details

The line at the Rastatt plant is designed to perform rear compartment welded production entirely through robotic systems. This state-of-the-art production line will enhance both efficiency and precision, supporting Mercedes’ high-quality standards.

Technical Specifications

  • Number of Robots: 60+
  • Number of PLCs: 5+
  • Number of Cameras: 40+
  • Standards: Integra 7
  • Drive Panels: 4 units to be produced under the Integra 7 standard.

Scope of Work

The main tasks within the project include:

  • Energy Distribution:

Ensuring energy distribution from the main production line to the new line.

  • Sensor and Communication Cabling:
    • Connecting and verifying sensor cables.
    • Installing communication cables and integrating them into the system.
  • Safety Equipment Installation:

Installing safety equipment in compliance with safety standards.

Robodex’s Contributions
